House Rules

Welcome to Mini Camping Hof van Philipsland!

We want everyone to enjoy the peace, space, nature and Zeeland country life. That is why we ask our guests to be considerate of one another, our animals, nature and our surroundings.

Our house rules are intended to make everyone’s stay pleasant, safe and relaxed.

1. Arrival and departure

  • Arrival is possible from 2.00 pm until 9.00 pm.
  • On the day of departure the pitch must be vacated by 12.00 noon at the latest.
  • On arrival, please follow the instructions of the site manager.
  • Park your vehicles only in the designated area.
  • If you would like to arrive earlier or leave later, please arrange this with us in advance.

2. Peace and noise

  • Quiet hours apply between 10.00 pm and 7.00 am.
  • During the day too, we ask you to be considerate of other guests.
  • Music, radio, television and other audio devices must not cause a nuisance.
  • Amplified music, noisy parties and other activities that cause a nuisance are not permitted.
  • Sound that is clearly audible at other pitches is, in principle, too loud.
  • After 10.00 pm we ask you to be extra quiet and to keep conversations at a subdued volume.
  • Enjoy your own music, but let others enjoy the peace too.

3. Visitors

  • Visitors are welcome, but must respect the peace and quiet on the campsite.
  • Overnight stays by visitors must be reported to the site manager in advance.
  • The maximum number of people per pitch may not be exceeded.
  • The main guest is responsible for the conduct of his or her visitors.

4. BBQ, fire and safety

  • Barbecuing is permitted in a safe and suitable place.
  • A barbecue must never be placed directly on the grass.
  • Keep sufficient distance from tents, caravans, trees, plants and other flammable materials.
  • Make sure a barbecue is always stable.
  • When using a barbecue, keep water or a suitable extinguisher within reach.
  • Never leave a barbecue unattended.
  • Ash and charcoal may only be disposed of when they have completely cooled down and in accordance with the site manager’s instructions.
  • Open fires, fire baskets, campfires and torches are only permitted when explicit permission has been given.
  • In the event of an official fire ban or increased fire risk, barbecuing may be temporarily prohibited.
  • Safety always comes first. When in doubt, ask us.

5. Smoking

  • Smoking is not permitted in buildings, the sanitary facilities and any accommodations.
  • Never throw cigarette butts on the ground, in the grass or among the plants.
  • Smoking near hay, straw, stables or other flammable materials is not permitted.
  • Use an ashtray and make sure cigarettes are fully extinguished.

6. Appropriate clothing and conduct

  • In and around the sanitary and communal facilities, wearing clothing is mandatory.
  • Nudism is not permitted on the campsite.
  • We expect everyone to behave respectfully towards other guests, staff and local residents.
  • Aggressive, intimidating, discriminatory or other undesirable behaviour will not be accepted.
  • Excessive alcohol consumption must never lead to nuisance or unsafe behaviour.

7. Sanitary facilities

  • Leave the sanitary facilities clean and tidy for the next guest.
  • Use the sanitary facilities for their intended purpose.
  • Do not throw wet wipes, sanitary towels, grease, food remains or other objects into the toilet.
  • Do not use the toilet as a waste bin.
  • Children must use the sanitary facilities properly and be accompanied by a parent/carer where necessary.
  • Report any malfunctions or damage to the site manager as soon as possible.

8. Waste

  • Waste must only be disposed of in the designated places.
  • Keep the campsite clean and do not leave waste next to the bins.
  • Glass and other waste must be separated in accordance with the available waste facilities.
  • Do not leave food remains outside; these can attract animals.
  • Bulky waste, large refuse or waste resulting from works may not be left on the campsite.

9. Cars and traffic

  • A maximum speed of 3 km/h applies on the grounds.
  • Drive at walking pace and watch out for playing children, walkers, animals and other guests.
  • Park only in the designated places.
  • Keep access roads, passages and any emergency service routes clear.
  • Do not leave vehicles idling unnecessarily.
  • Washing cars, caravans or campers on the grounds is not permitted without permission.

10. Dogs and other pets

  • Pets are welcome, provided they do not cause a nuisance.
  • Keep your dog on a lead.
  • Dogs must not bother other guests, children or animals.
  • Barking must not cause a nuisance.
  • Dog waste must be cleaned up immediately.
  • Pets must not be left unattended when this could cause a nuisance or danger.
  • Pets are not permitted in the sanitary facilities and in the stables unless otherwise indicated.
  • Do not let your dog run loose in meadows, near horses or in places where this is not permitted.

11. Children

  • Children are of course most welcome at Hof van Philipsland.
  • Parents/carers remain responsible for their children at all times.
  • Pay extra attention to children near water, animals, agricultural machinery and farm buildings.
  • Entering stables, sheds, meadows and other farm grounds is only permitted with permission.
  • Children may not play on agricultural machinery, vehicles, fences or other farm equipment.
  • Be considerate of other guests while playing.

12. Horses, animals and the farm

At Hof van Philipsland, horses and other animals are part of daily life. This makes our campsite special, but it also comes with responsibilities.

  • Never feed horses or other animals without permission.
  • Keep sufficient distance from horses and other animals.
  • Do not open gates or enter meadows without permission.
  • Only enter stables, sheds and other farm spaces with permission.
  • Do not touch agricultural machinery, tools and other farm equipment.
  • Always follow the instructions of the site manager.
  • Animals remain animals. Even a friendly horse can react unexpectedly.

13. Pitches

  • Keep your pitch neat and clean.
  • Keep your tent, caravan, camper, awning and other camping equipment within the boundaries of your own pitch.
  • Do not dig holes or trenches on the pitch.
  • Do not damage the grass, trees, shrubs and other plants.
  • It is not permitted to attach nails, screws or other materials to trees or other property.
  • Leave your pitch clean and tidy on departure.
  • Any damage must be reported immediately.

14. Electricity

  • Only use the available electrical connection in accordance with the instructions.
  • Only use sound cables, plugs and connection materials.
  • Electrical cables must be laid safely so that no one can trip over them.
  • If you have any doubts about a connection, you can always contact the site manager.
  • The use of faulty or damaged electrical equipment is not permitted.

15. Water

  • Use drinking water sparingly.
  • Drinking water points are intended solely for the use indicated.
  • Waste water and chemical substances may not be discharged into the ground, ditches or other watercourses.

16. Nature and surroundings

  • Respect nature and leave plants, trees and flowers undisturbed.
  • Do not throw waste into nature.
  • Do not disturb animals.
  • Be considerate of local residents and other visitors.
  • Do not leave behind food or other items that may attract wild animals.

17. Safety and emergencies

  • Always keep access roads and passages clear.
  • Fire extinguishers, emergency facilities and other safety equipment must remain accessible.
  • In the event of an emergency, always follow the instructions of the site manager and emergency services.
  • Report dangerous situations, damage or defects to the site manager immediately.
  • In case of emergency, call 112.

18. Photos and privacy

  • We consider it important that everyone can enjoy their stay carefree.
  • Do not take photos or videos of other guests without their permission.
  • Do not publish recognisable photos or videos of other guests, in particular children, without permission.
  • Respect the privacy of other guests and our staff.

19. Damage and liability

  • Every guest is responsible for damage caused by him/her, family members, children, visitors or pets.
  • Damage to property of Hof van Philipsland must be reported immediately.
  • Any costs for repair or replacement may be recovered from the person responsible.
  • Hof van Philipsland is not liable for loss, theft or damage to personal property, unless there is statutory liability on the part of the campsite.

20. Nuisance and compliance with the house rules

We assume that everyone behaves as a good guest. Should there nevertheless be nuisance or non-compliance with the house rules, we will address the guest concerned.

In the event of serious or repeated violations, we may take appropriate measures. In serious cases, the stay may be terminated without any right to a refund.

21. Finally

Our house rules are not there to make your holiday less free, but rather to ensure that everyone can enjoy the peace, space and Zeeland country life.
